I went to Kite Beach and stayed longer than I planned

I didn’t go to Kite Beach looking for anything special. I just wanted space not the kind with walls or schedules, just somewhere open where I could breathe. It wasn’t too crowded when I got there. A few families were near the water, some teenagers were skating past the volleyball courts, and a little kid kept chasing a kite that barely flew but made everyone smile anyway. It felt easy to blend in without needing to do anything.
I walked until I found a spot where the noise faded, sat on the pavement, and looked at the sea. The Burj Al Arab stood in the distance like it always does still, bold, almost quiet in its own way. The breeze wasn’t strong, but it was soft enough to calm whatever thoughts I didn’t realize I was carrying. I didn’t take out my phone. Didn’t feel the need to capture or post anything. I just sat there, doing nothing, and it felt good.
Nothing dramatic happened. No perfect moment or big realization. Just calm the kind that settles in slowly and stays for a while. That’s what Kite Beach gave me today. And honestly, it was more than enough.
