Why I Still Fly Emirates After Dozens of Trips
After multiple international flights with Emirates I share what really stands out and where it still needs to improve for frequent business class travelers.
I’ve flown Emirates more times than I can count—Europe, Asia, North America, and nearly every time via Dubai. As someone who travels often, you’d think I’d be numb to the airline experience by now. But every time I board an Emirates flight, there’s still a sense of relief. Not excitement, but trust.
Emirates has mastered the basics most airlines still struggle with space that feels like yours, staff who make eye contact and smile because they mean it, and timing that respects yours. Their Business Class cabin feels designed by someone who flies, not someone who just draws airline layouts. From the seat to the storage to the lighting, it just works.
Food is another story. I’ve had moments where the meals tasted like they came out of a restaurant kitchen, and other times where breakfast felt like an afterthought. Still, the consistency is better than most carriers I’ve flown.
Where Emirates truly outperforms is the in-flight entertainment. I never even think of using my own tablet anymore. Whether it's catching up on shows or tuning out with live news, the options are unmatched. That said, the Wi-Fi could definitely use an upgrade. It works for messages and emails but doesn’t hold up if you're trying to run a video call.
What impresses me most after all these flights is that Emirates has never felt tired. Some airlines peak then slide. Emirates, somehow, continues to feel current. The crew changes, the aircraft evolve, but the overall vibe remains calm, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
It’s not perfect, nothing is. But it’s reliable, refined, and still a few steps ahead of most. That’s why I keep flying with them.
